Licensing
Animal Shelter License Application
Reasons for Licensing
- Excellent identification. It's your pet's ticket back home. It allows us to notify you when your lost pet is found.
- It ensures that your dog is rabies vaccinated.
- Provides proof that the dog legally belongs to you.
- It's the LAW. In Mohave County, all dogs over three (3) months of age must be licensed. Tourists or transient owners are not required to obtain a license, if the dog does not run at large, has a valid current license from another City, Town, or County and is not maintained within the County for more than thirty (30) consecutive days of each calendar year, and has a current rabies vaccination certificate signed by a licensed veterinarian.
