District 4 – Jean Bishop

Mohave County Supervisor Jean Bishop is a lifelong resident of Mohave County. She has devoted her adult life to public service at the local, county and state level. 

Bishop is currently a member of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors, where she represents District-4, which encompasses Kingman, Golden Valley, runs northwest to the Nevada state line, north to Lake Mead and continues nearly to Grand Canyon West. She has held this position since the year 2014, plus several other public service positions throughout her career.

Her experience before she took on the County Supervisor responsibility included 30+ years as a Law Enforcement Professional and elected Constable. 

Bishop attended schools in the Kingman area and holds a degree in applied science from Mohave Community College as well as several other professional and technical certifications to include earning her private pilot license. 

Bishop has received many awards and accolades during her career such as the prestigious "Women Making History" award in 2010 and the "life-time achiever" Andy award in 2014.

She has been involved in numerous boards and commissions, including the County Supervisor's Association Executive Committee President and an appointment to the Arizona Criminal Justice Commission where she sits on 2 committees.

Bishop also serves as the President of the Mohave County Board of Health, Director for the Kingman Area Food Bank and past Treasurer and Secretary for the Fraternal Order of Police.
