Landfill

Our Mission is to provide the citizens of Mohave County a safe and economical method for disposal of municipal waste generated in the County, in accordance with Arizona Department of Environmental Quality and Federal Environmental Protection Agency rules and regulations.  Also to promote efforts and solutions addressing the eradication of the pervasive environmental, health and public safety hazards associated with illegal "WILDCAT" dumping of wastes in the desert areas of Mohave County.

Cerbat Sanitary Landfill Information

• The Landfill operation site is located on 160 acres described as the Southwest quarter of Section 35, Township 23 North, Range 18 West of the Gila and Salt River Base and Meridian, Mohave County, Arizona, lying East of U.S. Hwy 93 approximately 2 ½ Miles.
• Operating hours are 7:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., Monday thru Friday and 8:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. on Saturdays. Closed on Sundays and holidays.
• Contact  telephone (928) 565-2777.
• Location – North on Hwy 93 (from I-40 Interstate about 12.5 miles) turn right on Mineral Park Road and drive about 4 miles to the Landfill.

Cerbat Sanitary Landfill Rates (effective January 3, 2024) 

Note: $1.50 credit card transaction fee 

Mohave County receives 10% of the rates and the Mohave County Trash Task Force (MCTTF) receives a $2.00 fee per ton rates.

Mohave Valley Sanitary Landfill Information 

• The Landfill operation site is located on 160 acres described as the Northeast quarter of Section 21, Township 19 North, Range 21 West of the Gila and Salt river Base and Meridian, Mohave County, Arizona, lying East of the Arizona State Hwy 95, approximately 4 ½ miles.
• The operation hours are 7:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Monday thru Saturday. Closed on Sundays and holidays.
• Contact telephone (928) 758-0000.
• Location – Hwy 95 (Mohave Valley Hwy) turn on El Rodeo Road.

Mohave Valley Sanitary Landfill Rates (effective January 3, 2024)  

Mohave County receives 10% of the rates and the Mohave County Trash Task Force (MCTTF) receives a $2.00 fee per ton rates.

* Notes

1. Certain tires disposed by Commercial Tire Dealers and Mohave County residents may qualify as “Program Tires” and therefore not be subject to charges as indicated. Please check with the Landfill or the Mohave County Public Works Department for clarification.
2. Tires received and stored at Mohave County’s Waste Tire Collection Sites “from tire dealers whose place of business is other than Arizona or from individuals not having proof of residency” will be charged at the rate of $294.65 per ton.
3. Minimum load weights may vary by type of items disposed. Contact the respective Landfill for details.
