Business Systems

The Business Systems team is responsible for managing and supporting Mohave County’s enterprise applications, which include the Treasurer’s System, the Financial Management System, the Permitting System, and the Human Resources System. This division also provides project management services in the planning, selection, and implementation of new application software and for maintaining and enhancing existing in-house applications.

Division functions also include:

• Database administration, including monitoring, performance tuning, and regular database maintenance.
• Backing up enterprise systems regularly utilizing off-site storage and developing and maintaining recovery procedures.
• Customer support in problem determination and problem resolution.
• Regular monitoring of system activity.
• Vendor contact, coordination, and management of support and maintenance contracts.
• Formatting corporate data to sell to interested outside parties.
• Development of new software specifications and evaluation of new software.
• Management of GIS planning and implementation.
• Managing data conversion projects that move data between systems.
• Managing major upgrade projects.
• New software testing, recommending, purchasing, and implementation.
• Implementing fixes and modifications to existing in-house applications.
