Legal Advocates

About Us
The Mohave County Legal Advocate’s Office serves as court appointed counsel for juveniles in the Mohave County Superior Court system. Our clientele ranges in age from newborn to nineteen. The Legal Advocate’s Office is appointed by the Court to represent juveniles in a vast array of case types, from delinquency matters to any matter alleging abuse or neglect, or where the court may need a best interest assessment on behalf of the child. Our dedicated and highly trained team provides not only representation for the juveniles, but also education, legal counsel, and behind the scenes advocacy for each client we have the privilege to represent. The Legal Advocate’s representation is strictly limited to those cases in which the Court appoints the juvenile counsel, the office does not accept cases directly from the public. This ensures that the Court is determining whether the appointment of counsel for the Child meets the requirements pursuant to the laws of the State of Arizona. Our team is comprised of attorneys, investigators, and office clerks dedicated to supporting and providing the juveniles of Mohave County with the best possible legal representation and advocacy possible.

Mission
The Mission of the Legal Advocate’s office is not only to provide the best possible legal representation, advocacy, and support possible to the juveniles of Mohave County, but to also provide guidance and support for all clients as they navigate the legal system regardless of the type or types of cases they are involved in. We provide a safe space for our clients to speak their truths, to explore their possibilities, and to have rational, open dialogues about real legal possibilities for their futures. The Legal Advocate’s Office mission is to ensure that each of our clients, from newborn to nineteen not only has the opportunity, but, is and feels, seen and heard. We accomplish this through tailored advocacy strategies developed with each client individually based upon the clients’ positions and goals for their future.
