Public Accommodations
The Environmental Health Division inspects public accommodations, including hotels, motels, campgrounds, children's camps and RV Parks. Authority is delegated to the EHD from the Arizona Department of Health Services. Mohave County also has a public accommodations ordinance which gives authority for oversight of these facilities. Inspectors look for sanitation issues at the facilities including water source, wastewater disposal, general cleanliness, vermin, trash removal, and many other items. Each facility is inspected at least once per year.
