The Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records is a division of the Secretary of States Office and is the authority for public records. This site can be useful for historical research, programs such as the Arizona Memory Project, the Arizona Newspaper Project, the Braille and Talking Book Library and the Law and Research Library.

The Arizona Records Management Division is responsible for establishing standards, procedures and techniques for the effective management of the public records of Arizona state and local governments.

The Arizona Historical Records Advisory Board was created to serve as the central advisory body for historical records planning and for National Historical Publications and Records Commission funded projects developed and carried out in this state. Also to serve as a coordinating body to facilitate cooperation among historical records repositories and other information agencies in this state and as a state-level review body for grant proposals as defined in the National Historical Publications and Records Commission guidelines. Grants are available to provide assistance for the preservation of historical records.

Arizona Historical Society is the steward of this state's history. There are several museum facilities around the state with fantastic exhibits, programs that connect individuals to the past and present.

The Arizona Memory Project provides access to the wealth of sources in Arizona libraries, archives, museums and other cultural institutions. Visitors to the site will find some of the best examples of government documents, photographs, maps, and objects that chronicle Arizona's past and present.

NAGARA is the National Association of Government Archives and Records Administrators. It is an association dedicated to the improvement of federal, state. and local government records and information management.
