Volunteer Posse

Mohave County Sheriff Office is currently recruiting volunteers for the Sheriff’s Volunteer Posse. The mission of the Sheriff's Office Posse is to support the office by providing non-enforcement services that allow sworn officers to focus on their primary mission of crime prevention and the enforcement of the state and city laws. All volunteers receive training in a 32 hour academy, with topics to include: orientation and organization, crime prevention, introduction to law, driver awareness, patrol procedures, traffic control, radio communications, and basic report writing. Volunteers also complete one ride-along with a Deputy, and field training with an experienced Posse member.
