Nearly 300 Acres Hit by Fire in Topock Marsh

Emergency Management Coordinator, Mike Browning has reported that last night’s Mohave Valley area Pintail Fire, located in Topock Marsh, consumed 296 acres of wetlands (Cattails.)

Mohave Valley Fire Chief, Ted Martin says that the wildfire is currently contained within the Havasu National Wildlife Refuge and not a threat to nearby communities. Motorists should be aware of fire apparatus in the area for the next several days.
