Primary Election Update Friday Morning, August 2

Yesterday, the Mohave County Elections Department tabulated 6,527 early ballots. This number includes virtually all of the early ballots received in the Voter Registration Department Saturday thru Tuesday and early ballots dropped off at various poll sites on Election Day, July 30.

Elections Director Allen Tempert said, “In yesterday’s count we also tabulated 258 Election Day ballots that could not be tallied Election Night due to damage prior to tabulation. In total, we tabulated a total of 6,785 ballots, which is reflected in yesterday’s posting.

”Yesterday’s posting occurred shortly after 7:00 pm. Currently, there are 77 damaged early ballots that are being addressed and will be included in today’s election results posting , which is expected to be by 5:00pm (today, August 2, 2024.)

Voter Registration has 86 early ballots with signatures that still need to be cured by voters as well as 350 provisional ballots that were voted on at poll sites on Election Day. All signatures for early ballots must be cured with the Recorder’s office by 5:00 PM on Sunday, August 4, 2024.
