Mohave/La Paz Workforce Development Board

The Mohave/La Paz Workforce Development Board provides oversight and direction for the ARIZONA@WORK system of business and employment programs throughout Mohave and La Paz Counties. Private and public sector leaders join forces to promote effective and efficient workforce development programs and services to customer.
Membership
The Mohave/La Paz WDB members are appointed by their respective County Board of Supervisors and certified by the Governor. The members represent many components of workforce development including business, labor, education, economic development, education, city and state agencies, youth serving agencies and other service providers.

STATEMENT OF LOCATIONS WHERE ALL NOTICES OF THE MEETINGS OF THE MOHAVE/LA PAZ WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BOARD WILL BE POSTED

Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.02, the Mohave/La Paz Workforce Development Board hereby states that all notices of the meetings of the Mohave/La Paz Workforce Development Board and any of its committees and subcommittees will be posted in the lobby of the Mohave County Community Services Department, located at 700 West Beale Street, Kingman, Arizona and on the Mohave County Community Services Department website at https://sl.mohave.gov/wdb-meetings. The Department is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., except legal holidays. Such notices will indicate the date, time, and place of the meeting and will include an agenda or information concerning the manner in which the public may obtain an agenda for the meeting.

Sector Strategy Initiatives
The Mohave/La Paz WBD has identified six industry sectors (Construction, Manufacturing, Transportation/Logistics, Healthcare & Social Assistance, Information Technology, Leisure and Hospitality) as strategic to regional economic and workforce vitality. The Board and Workforce Development staff are involved in sector partnerships that promote industry expansion and career pathway development in these sectors.

Occupations in Demand List
The OID list is revised bi-annually to ensure that demand occupations are identified, and eligible training providers are approved.
